Stone delivery and installation

The stone detail meets the finished room. We plan site measurements, delivery and fitting within your agreed project scope, with access, supports and adjoining trades considered before installation. From a single worktop to phased stonework, the final dimensions and site conditions guide the work.

Define the route from workshop to site

Supply-only, delivery and installed work have different handover points. Agree who measures, receives, handles and fits the stone, and identify the supports and service connections that remain with the project’s other trades.

Supply only

We supply the material you choose, once we have checked availability.

Make and collect

We cut and finish your pieces, then arrange collection.

Deliver and install

We deliver and install the stonework in your quote.

The quote and prepared site

Included work
Your quote lists what we supply, make and install, and what's left to other trades.
Cutting, transport, site measure and installation are included only if your quote lists them.
Supports and service connections
Your builder or cupboard maker prepares cupboards, supports and the substrate – the wall, board or base the stone is fixed to. Plumbing and electrical work are separate trades.

See stonework during installation

Each fireplace installation needs its own support, fixing and appliance-clearance details.
Fitting resolves the relationship between the stone and the prepared site. The final detail needs to account for supports, walls, openings and the other surfaces it meets, rather than relying on nominal plan dimensions alone.

A clear route from brief to handover

Each stage settles information needed by the next. An early estimate can begin with rough sizes; fabrication depends on final material and dimensions. Delivery and installation arrangements are reviewed against the actual site and agreed scope.

The documents behind the delivery stages

Scope and quantities
For fabrication and fitting, we plan these stages with you. Your quote sets out which stages and documents apply.
A bill of quantities (BOQ) – the itemised list of work to be priced – sets out the quantities.
Fabrication detail and site responsibilities
The fabrication drawing is the drawing we cut from, showing every piece, joint and cut-out. A cut-out is the opening cut for a sink, hob or tap.
We settle site access and who is responsible for final measurements, openings and supports before manufacture. Supply-only and collection jobs follow the stages in their quote.

Prepare the site for the stone

The stone needs the intended supports, final openings and a workable access route. Tell us about stairs, lifts, narrow passages and lifting restrictions early. Cupboards, wall construction and adjoining trades should be ready for the agreed fitting stage.

Access and lifting

You provide unloading space, access limits and estate delivery rules.

Supports and cupboards

Your builder or cupboard maker builds them.

Walls and fixing

Your architect or engineer designs the wall and fixings.

Other trades

Your builder coordinates joinery, waterproofing and tiling.

Fixtures

You provide final sink, hob and tap models and positions.

Protection

You arrange protection after installation and one contact for changes.

Planning access before delivery

Before we set a delivery date, we plan access, supports and other trades with you.

The practical information we need

Send the site location, drawings, selected product and requested timing. Add who manages access and who is responsible for cupboards, supports, plumbing and electrical work. Changes to those details can affect the installation arrangements.

Before we cut

Latest drawings, joints, visible edges, chosen product and finish.

Fixtures

Sink, hob and tap models, with cut-out positions.

Before delivery

Address, access, unloading limits, readiness date and change contact.

Handover and care

At handover, check visible edges, joints and openings against your quote, and tell us about any concern.
Ask which product-specific care guidance is available for handover. Follow the selected product's cleaning and treatment instructions.
Care guidance should refer to the product that has actually been fitted. Ask about cleaning, heat protection and any sealing requirements, and keep product and installation warranty information distinct when reviewing the documents.
Keep the product name and finish with your records
Keep photos, location and job reference for any later concern

Where is your project?

Based in KwaZulu-Natal. Share your project location so we can confirm supply, delivery and installation arrangements.

Location

Tell us your town or suburb and any access restrictions. We confirm delivery and installation in your quote.

Delivery and installation questions

Tell us what changed – cupboards, walls or fixtures – so we can recheck before fabrication or installation continues.
It depends on the pieces. Send the material, sizes, condition and site photos, and we check the installation before setting a date.
We move the delivery date. Tell us as early as you can, and we agree revised dates, storage and any extra costs with you first.
No, those are separate trades. Your quote records the stone installation, and your plumber and electrician handle their connections.

Plan the route to site

Share the stonework, location, requested timing and access conditions. Tell us what is ready and who handles the adjoining trades so delivery and fitting can be discussed clearly.
