StoneCo slab yard. Image illustrates material supply; contact us about the selected brand and product.
Neolith is sintered stone made by compacting and heating mineral raw materials. For kitchen countertops, vanity tops or cladding, choose the finish and slab thickness for the intended application. An exposed worktop edge and a wall panel need different detailing, so plan those decisions alongside the slab's pattern and colour.
We supply, cut and fit Neolith in Durban and across KZN. We welcome homeowners and trade, with no minimum job size, whether you have a single room to finish or a set of project drawings.
Plan beyond the sample
A sample helps you judge colour and texture. For an island, long worktop or large wall panel, the slab layout matters too. Discuss pattern direction, joints and the appearance of exposed edges before the cutting layout is agreed.
Thickness, support and cut-out details need to work together. Tell us about a large sink opening, overhang, mitred edge or waterfall end early, so those details can be reviewed for your selected Neolith product.
For a vanity, bring basin and tap details. For cladding, describe the wall, backing and proposed exposure. See our
vanity service or
façades and slab cladding service; wall fixing and supporting work need their own agreed scope.
Why work with StoneCo?
Visit our Verulam showroom, or contact our Durban branch in Bonela. Contact us before visiting to confirm which material you would like to see. Bring room photos or finish samples if you have them, and we can discuss the surface alongside the rest of the space.
For an installed job, StoneCo covers templating, fabrication and installation within the agreed quote. We settle final sizes, openings and edge details before fabrication, with responsibilities for cupboards, supports and other trades clearly identified. Read
how installation works. If you need supply or fabricated pieces for your own fitter, see
our trade service.
Also consider Luxen sintered stone
Luxen is StoneCo's own sintered stone range. Include it alongside Neolith when comparing options for your room. Review actual samples, product documents, slab layouts and the scope of each quote. A shared material category does not make every thickness, finish or fixing detail interchangeable.
Questions about Neolith
Is Neolith an engineered quartz surface?
No. Neolith is sintered stone, formed from mineral raw materials using heat and pressure. It is a different material family from engineered quartz worktops. Compare the product's care, edge and installation requirements in our
materials guide.
Can I have a thicker-looking edge?
Discuss the appearance you want before choosing the slab. Edge construction and support need to be checked for the exact product and layout.
Can it be specified outdoors?
Yes. Neolith has outdoor applications, including façades and exterior cladding. Tell us whether you need a countertop or wall surface so we can check the selected finish, thickness, support and fixing details for that location.
