Silestone is Cosentino's engineered mineral surface for interior countertops and other surfaces. Current Hybriq+ formulations combine minerals and recycled materials with reduced crystalline silica content. Older and newer products can differ, so confirm the exact product and its technical information when choosing a new top or matching an existing installation.
We supply, cut and fit Silestone in Durban and across KZN. Homeowners and trade are welcome, with no minimum job size, whether you are planning one vanity or surfaces for several kitchens.
Plan the surfaces around your room
Typical uses include kitchen worktops, islands, bathroom vanity tops and interior slab cladding. Start with where the surface will go and how its colour works with your cupboards, floor and lighting. Then review the finish and the proposed layout, including joints and exposed edges.
For a vanity, bring basin and tap details if available. For a kitchen, note your sink, hob and any waterfall ends. If you want a matching wall panel, describe its height and position so the product, backing and fixing requirements can be checked. See our
vanity service or
slab cladding service.
Why buy from StoneCo?
StoneCo brings material supply, templating, fabrication and installation into one agreed stonework scope. Confirm final sizes and fixture details before cutting, and discuss which work is included in your quote. Cupboards, supports and connections need clear responsibilities between the people working on the room.
Visit our Verulam showroom, or contact our Durban branch in Bonela to discuss your shortlist. Contact us first to confirm the material you want to see. We can discuss the sample and proposed slab layout together, rather than choosing from a screen alone. See
our installation service for the fitting journey.
Also consider Lumina Quartz
Lumina Quartz is StoneCo's own quartz range. Include it alongside Silestone if you are exploring engineered surfaces for an interior. Compare actual samples and the exact product information, then discuss both against the same dimensions, cut-outs and installation scope. Colour resemblance alone does not establish the same composition or care requirements.
Questions about Silestone
Is every Silestone product the same quartz mix?
No. Silestone formulations have changed, and current products use labels that identify their maximum crystalline silica content. Silestone XM covers the Q10 range, with a maximum of 10%. That does not describe every older Silestone slab. Ask for the current technical information for the exact product available for your job.
Can I choose from a small sample?
A sample helps with finish and colour. For larger surfaces, also review the proposed slab layout and where joints will sit.
Can I specify Silestone for an outdoor braai area?
Cosentino does not recommend Silestone outdoors because UV exposure can damage the surface. For a braai area, discuss a material specified for the setting and the appliance's heat exposure. Indoor suitability alone is not enough.
